Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Success Pond Road was very bumpy/rutty, worst I have seen it in a few years (first time up there this year!!)room for half dozen + at the trailhead, 3 others upon returning later today

Surface Conditions: Wet Trail, Ice - Blue, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth

Water Crossing Notes: numerous done a ok rock to rock but the first one could be trouble with high water

Trail Maintenance Notes: AMC has been improving this trail with new drainage and rock steps and crib steps..not many blowdowns

Comments: Had not been up to this part of the Mahoosuc in a while so today was a good day to get there...this is a fast way to get up to the Mahoosuc or exit...usual wet muddy rocky snowy icy leaves hiding stuff day..couple of ice flows near Carlo summit...posted in ME trail conditions as this hike starts in NH but summit in ME..can get mixed up like Speckled the Royces Baldfaces and others in the general area...nice view from Carlo summit area, though trees do infringe a little...
