 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
As you turn off 113 onto Deer Hill Rd. there are 2 large "puddles" to drive through due to high water right now, a few other cars on the road, so I guess no one had any problems. I parked at Horseshoe Pond trail, room for 3-4. |

 | Surface Conditions: |
Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail |

|
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Only significant crossing was that of Bradley Brook (between Lord Hill and Pine Hill) and my feet were already wet, so I splashed right through. rivers running high today due to rain yesterday |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Horseshoe pond trail - a blaze on the boulder where you have to turn sharp right would be good.
Mine Loop tr - wasn't really sure I was on it until I hit the sign at the end! Maybe a blaze or two.
Another couple on the trails today missed the turn on Conant by the Cellar Hole(going up Pine Hill), there is a double blaze there, but maybe a bigger sign would be good. |

 | Comments: |
There is a beaver swamp area on the bottom of Conant Trail heading up Pine Hill. Another couple I talked to made it across this area with a bit of work, but there is a sign saying "trail closed, flooded" in the Conant trail parking area.
Trails very wet today, lots of running and still water on trails.
Great views from Pine Hill and Lord Hill ledges.
I took a spill going down Pine Hill (steep, wet leaves, pine needles = recipe for disaster!) cut my knee open and got to use the steri-strips I've been carrying for 15 years! |
