Trails: Baker's Meadow Reservation Trail, spur path, Reservation Road

Date of Hike: Sunday, October 27, 2024
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Small pull-off on the side of the road 0.1mi south of Pilgrim Drive (and 0.4mi northwest of Andover St) on Reservation Rd. I don't think parking on Argilla Rd would be a good idea. No room. The parking area described in the guidebook is neither of these but is rather 0.8mi north of Andover St on Reservation Rd.

Comments
Comments: I do not recall if the trails were blazed. The "marked" spur path is not marked. Signs on the road.

Another exceptionally late trail report, sorry. First hike of the day. From my alternate parking area, I hiked the loop in the reverse direction, heading south into the woods first and doing the road walk at the end. The trails are pretty flat and the pond is nice. Note that the 0.3mi spur from the main loop to Argilla Rd was not signed as the guidebook says it is and was actually a bit obscure at its start although shown on Gaia amidst other spurs to other roads. Not really hard to follow and it may have ust been that leaves were down, but the start of it would be easy to walk by. It starts by a rock wall and almost immediately passes through it. Gaia had me at 2.5mi, 40ft of gain, 49min.
