Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Spotted one car at Rt 119 parking lot. 3 other cars at the time (7 AM). On return lot was full and a couple of dozen cars also parked on 119. At end we started at (Jewell Hill Road) one other car. When we got back, one other (different) car. Not much room for any more cars.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Nothing serious.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A few stepover blowdowns, some old, some from Irene. One Irene-caused oak blowdown would have turned into a walkaround herd path so I took out my trusty Sven Saw and removed it.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Tons of dogs on top of Watatic. All having a good time.
Bugs
Bugs: Got earbuzzed only when stopping.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Found a drinking tube wraparound clip. Makes up for the one I lost a few years ago. Don't think it is the same one.

Comments
Comments: 8th and final section of CJ's and my south-to-north Midstate trail journey. Presented him with Midstate patch at terminus. Lots of nicely colored mushrooms, lots of red efts. What's next? Maybe Wapack, maybe North-South Trail in RI. Maybe M-M?
