 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Plenty of free parking at Billerica High, at least on Sundays.
At the other end, there is parking for a few cars on Gray St., at the power-line right-of-way where an ATV trail heads NW to the old Middlesex Canal tow-path, on the south side of the Canal. |

 | Comments: |
I hiked 9.5 miles, but a good chunk of that was following what turned out to be dead ends between the huge industrial wasteland that the RR tracks reach just before the Middlesec Canal, and Gray St. The old towpath running west from Gray St. for .75 mile, now used by ATVs, was the highlight - it gave me a sense for the Canal's heyday, two centuries ago. |
