Some blowdowns. Duck under one, climb over rest. |

Swarms of mosquitoes almost entire trail. Needed to reapply DEET frequently to keep them somewhat at bay. A few ticks also. No leeches or vampire bats. |

Midstate trail Rt 9, Spencer to East Hill Rd Rutland. Our 4th leg on South to North on Midstate trail. Lots of red efts crossing trail. Lady slippers. Rain for about an hour. Trip took about 5.5 hrs. |
