Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Snow - Wet/Sticky, Snow/Ice - Monorail (Unstable), Snow - Spring Snow, Leaves - Significant/Slippery, Snow/Ice - Postholes, Slush, Snow/Ice - Small Patches

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: One major by October Mountain shelter is easy to cross. All others are rock hoppable. This will change as the melt picks up.  
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Lots of blow downs obscuring the trail near Bald Peak.  
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: This is a tough time of year for dogs. Lots of deep sections that they seem to sink into. Watch for cuts and the potential to tear muscles.

Comments: With 4 hikes now left until I leave for some southern hikes, I was dealign with Spring conditions today. Lots of rotten snow and water. Slow going but still had a good day out there. Enjoying the trail through Massachusetts.
