A very cold and very sunny hike...just the way I like it. 2-4 inches of snow; microspikes not needed but could be helpful for some on the inclines and declines; I bare-booted the whole way and was fine; I hiked the paved road from the Hubbard River bridge to Halfway Brook Trail, up to the campsites and back down via the Camp Trail to the paved road for the return. Found some bobcat tracks. My first time visiting this state forest; I will definitely be back. Got some video footage. Check out the video link if you're interested. |
