Comments
Comments: I hiked the first 4.5 miles of the NC website's 6.5 mile traverse from the Charles to Newton Center, turning around at Lost Pond. I added a mile of detours and frolics, mostly through thorn bushes, for 10 miles in total. Only 10% of that was road, which is a good percentage for a near suburb of Boston. (Part of my hike was in Boston - West Roxbury's Brook Farm and St. Joseph's Cemetery.)
