Mt. Toby, MA |
 | Trails: |
Roaring Falls Trail, Tower Road |
 | Date of Hike: |
Sunday, August 22, 2010 |
 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Lot off Route 63 - room for maybe a dozen vehicles. Not well parked from the road, but obvious when you're in the lot. |
 | Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail |
 | Recommended Equipment: |
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
None |
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Probably best to keep the dogs on a leash - there's a friendly cat at the trailhead that seems to like to hike the first portion of the trail with you. Roaring Brook was pretty much dry, so little to no water available. |
 | Bugs: |
A few deer flies and mosquitoes, but not terrible. |

 | Comments: |
Trails were dry (hiked out before the rain picked up) and in good shape. Lots of damage in the surrouding woods, probably from the ice storm? Only views from summit are via climbing the fire tower. |
