Puddingstone ledges west of Chestnut Hill. Trails of Webster Cons. Area (Newton Cons. Comm) and Hammond Pond Res. (DCR). The NCC has a great website, with maps and information on these and many other trails in Newton - more than I'd suspected. Houghton Garden and the puddingstone ledges reached by the Elgin and Ledges Trails, north of the Green Line and west of Hammond Pond Parkway, were the highlights. |
