All routes clearly blazed and signed on this well-trodden peak. Two minor duckunders on High Meadow due to snow depth. |

A quick sunset hike up the local peak. All trails were broken out but choppy, except for Mountain House which is a sidewalk. I wore spikes on the way up in the interest of time, but switched to snowshoes for the descent to pack it down a bit. I hoofed it up and made it just time for the color, and hung out on the tower with a group of snowboarders. On the descent along High Meadow, a talkative owl was nearby, very cool to hear. A nice evening out, fair skies, reasonable temps and no wind! |
