All trails are forest roads or former railroad beds, wide and clear for the most part. One huge blowdown on the Tri-Town Trail however, and it gets slightly brushy near the parking area. |

No mountains today due to the wind chills, so I did some afternoon snowshoeing at the Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge in Sudbury. No elevation here due its former status as a WWII-era munitions depot (concrete bunkers are still in place across the refuge), but I still got a good work out breaking out White Pond Road and Tri-Town Trail. The other two trails had a solid track. Lots of ski tracks everywhere too. |
