Comments: Hickey, Squaw Peak, Indian Trail (CC wise loop)
Was in town to visit relatives and had a couple of hours. Nice loop when you're short on time. IMO always better to ascend via Hickey. There is a defined snowshoe trench on all of the trails, but also lots of side trails going every which way, with lots of postholes, most likely the aftermath of school vacation week. On the ridge, recommend staying on trail; we followed old tracks at the spur to the Devil's pulpit and had to turn back onto the main squaw peak trail as microspikes did not seem adequate for descent of the ledges. Views to the Catskills and Daks and north towards Greylock.
