There is only roadside parking (no trailhead parking lot), which made it difficult to find a place to leave our car (piles of snow at roadside). |

There was still quite a bit of snow on the trail, perhaps 8 inches, some hard enough to walk on top with bare boots and some slushy. But that was before the promised additional snow on March 19, which may put us back into winter conditions. |
