I had a great (and quick) day on up and down Camel's Hump. Forest City and the LT up to the summit are both good candidates for snowshoes since the trail hasn't been packed down, but I wore crampons for the day and they were ideal in some of the steeper conditions. There was only one blowdown that had me confused and it was because I was following somebody else's tracks that was just as confused. After that it was clear sailing. Burrows trail is perfect for butt sliding, or running (up and or down). Fully packed monorail top to bottom with minimal exposed ice sections that can be quickly detoured. |
