trail well packed and covered with a few inches of soft sticky freshies. bare boot just fine up to about 2/3 up and then crampons more suitable. three other hikers did well on snowshoes. one guy went up and down with yaktraks and did just fine. he's in better shape than i am, and probably thirty years younger. |
