The big hemlock at the start of the road up to the upper parking lot has been removed. It was there when I started and gone when I got back. There were tire tracks from the front gate which leads me to believe the crew took care of it. Thanks. |

Nice snowy day hike. I smoothed the track with my MSRs and enjoyed a rather blissful hike back down a smooth silky track that had gathered another inch of new snow. If I had gotten down just a little quicker I wouldn't have seen the skier and bare boot sledders headed up to "rearrange" the topography... |
