| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Perfect timing; arrived shortly after town plowing out beach lot. This lot is on Beach Road about a 1\4 mile off Rte 12 and town almost always plows it after taking care of more important duties. |

3 hikers snowshoed up to the foundation lookout. 2 back down. I broke trail from there to tower and down Ridge Tr.. Not too difficult; mostly 8-12" of light snow with some deeper drifts. Tower section awkward in snowshoes; I probably would've changed to good traction if going back down same way as there is significant ice lurking beneath snow. Made use of bypass in the worst spot. Nice snowshoeing but not great as still fairly bony (need another 12"). Nowhere near packed down other than the Catamount section down low. |
