Comments
Comments: I took the Long trail out to Gillespie peak from the south. I turned around at the summit of Gillespie and walked a short distance south before launching a bushwhack on Bear Mountain. The going to the col was steep and mainly open with a few sprucy sections. The accent to Bear was mainly open to the recognized highpoint. On the return to the col, I was a little south of my accent line, which resulted in more spruce. From the col, I slabbed my way towards the Gillespie/Cape Lookoff col, finding mainly open woods back to the long trail.
