| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
this peak has good access from the south driving in on fr264 from the junction of mill and county roads in stamford. the start of the road coincides with a private driveway and bisects the property. feels a little weird, but is good to go. the road would be drivable with care in just about any vehicle to just short of where the jeep road that climbs the peak leaves to the north. there is a good large area to park just before the road gets to rough for anything other than high clearance. |

| Comments: |
the rough jeep road up the peak is shown pretty accurately on the usgs map to a bit under 2800'. here an overgrown grassy road leaves to the right uphill and follows more of the map route while the current road turns to the west. the going on the grassy section of road was pretty good to a clearing 100 vert higher up after which it quickly disappeared and became very muddy. from there a relatviely short open woods bushwhack led to the recognized summit. the highest point appears to be a nearby rock. i followed the same route back out. |
