Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: There is a sign to the plowed Winter Parking lot (near the Camel's Hump View Trail - a short loop). The Camel's Hump (access) Road is getting muddy and quite rutted in places with some potholes and bumps along the way, but still driveable. We just held our breath.

Comments
Comments: It's about half a mile from winter parking area to the trailhead. We saw porcupine tracks. It was lightly raining for a while. Wet, sticky snow on packed trail. Not sure if it was fresh snow or snow that had fallen from the trees. Falling rain and thawing snow from branches. Rain cleared up by the time we reached the junction to the Alpine Trail. Snow got a little crusty further up. Enough of a defined snowshoe trail all the way from trailhead to the summit. Well-blazed. Still lots of snow on the ground. Perfect traction for snowshoes. Changed out lightweight rain jackets and layered up at Hut Clearing. Smooth ascent to the top. No views on summit beyond the tops of trees. Vegetation covered in ice and rime. Moonscape summit. Flo didn't want to leave the summit - it was so beautiful. So sublime. A very scenic hike.
