Sugarbush allows uphill traffic during ski season at Mt. Ellen starting at 5 PM (Mt. Ellen side closes for the season soon, so this won't matter much longer). Route starts off on the main quad lift line, then Joe's Cruiser, then Rim Run, and is designed to avoid most grooming activity at those hours.
Still full snow cover on the ski trails. I wore snowshoes roundtrip. The short stretch of the Long Trail to the summit had 3 to 5 feet of snowpack.
Nice late afternoon snowshoe prior to the next storm. Saw a dozen or so folks skinning up/skiing down. |
