Terrific day poking around the Mt Ascutney Trails. Really neat place. The outlooks, hang glider platform, old firetower converted to viewing platform, old steam donkey, etc. are all worth visiting - cannot believe I hadn't been here. Really neat history. I stayed at the Mt Ascutney State Park (at the base of the auto road) but don't recommend it unless you like to hear freight train horns in the middle of the night :( (that's what ear plugs are for). |
