Comments
Comments: My roundtrip distance was 11.75 miles. of which less than 2 was road-walking. Even that was OK, as Purgatory Road passed Middletown's toney St. George's School, whose campus would shame some of the Ivies. Purgatory Chasm is a tiny State Park that showcases a dramatic and sheer cleft, maybe 10 feet wide, in a cliff just west of Second (Sachuest) Beach.
