Comments
Comments: Talcott Mountain west of Hartford.
Paved roadwalk was dry and snow free. Yellow Trail had a coating of snow all the way to Heublein Tower. A few minor icy spots, but no need for traction.
Huge bang for the buck on this one. Lots of nice cliff lookouts along the way on this gradual trail (more of a woods road). Heublein Tower was closed for the winter, but is very impressive to look at. Never seen anything like it on a New England mountain before. Presumably there are panoramic views from the tower, but with it closed, there are still excellent views to the west.
