Comments
Comments: Bill Schor and I had a great day out. We benefited greatly from people over the last couple days that tracked out the bush whacks.

We started under partly cloudy skies at 6:30am. We took black pond trail and black pond bushwhack that seemed higher than I'm used to but kept us out of the mud.

Lincoln Brook was packed and tracked. Brook crossings as mentioned above had ice on the way out and took some time to get across but on way back were easier.

We decided to take Owl's Head Slide up and used the right hand trails that were un-tracked but had plenty of hand holds. Where trails came together there was lots of flow ice and we put on micro spikes.

The hike up to the peak and back down were uneventful. We spied the big rock signalling Brutus bushwhack on the way down and tracks so decided to follow down. The track setters did a great job and were were soon back at Lincoln brook.

At one of the brook crossings we saw what looked like a yard sale of clothes drying from some one who had come up after us and perhaps fallen in the brook.

We back tracked and finished up at 3:30pm.

Thanks to Bill for a great day, conversation and toughness on a bad ankle.
