Trail was generally loose granular or packed powder. Smooth sailing with snowshoes or light traction. Blew out a snowshoe about 2/3rds of the way up and was able to finish the hike on bareboots with no issue. If going anywhere else (ie Ike or the hut), I'd probably carry snowshoes. |
