Comments
Comments: Second time exploring closed status of Greeley Ponds trail from the south. Some chainsaw work has been done .6mi in; much left to do. I followed several groups of snowshoers heading for Timbercamp Trail - seems to be the destination of choice from the south.

I continued up Greeley Ponds Tr, crossing at the location of the lower blown-out bridge. The crossing was doable on skis but would be dicey over the water if you punch through. I turned around at the second blown-out bridge - it's half there and half GONE!!!! It is amazing to see the power of nature in there! The rest of the trail alternated between huge gullies (could ski the edge above the gullies) and flat trail. It will take a LOT to repair this gem!!!! :( Happily, the snow is filling in. After that, I poked around the various spur trails off Livermore Road - a nice place to explore on skis!!!
