Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Multiple smaller crossings leading up to the hut were all rock hoppable. Some deeper running water on the trail itself in places. The two major crossings above the hut were slightly sketchy, running fast and high, but I got across both staying dry. the second required a leap of faith.

Comments
Comments: Had the mountain to myself today. The road walk was down to the bone and firm up until the Bethlehem water turn-off; then it was packed snow with a skim coat of powder from last night. Spikes worked until after the two water crossings after the hut on the way up to Zealand, as it was still cold enough not to posthole. I put the shoes on after the second crossing for better traction and kept them on all the way back to the Zealand Road parking lot. There is still a TON of snow up there. Trees leaning in made route finding tricky in just a few places, but quickly solved. I went left instead of taking the stairs, as the angle above the stairs looked pretty scary. On the way down, the sun had warmed the fresh snow and my shoes were balling up, but I managed to get up and down before the rain started up again to Grid out this one.
