Comments
Comments: Definately a snowshoe hike. I was able to use spikes for the first half mile while the trail was still firm and frozen. The rest of the hike was all snowshoes as the trail was not well consolidated and mashed potato consistency, especially as it warmed up. Snowshoes were punching into the trailbed on the way down. Spikes would work ok on the rocky summit approaches.
