Comments
Comments: Wanting to avoid the masses heading north but still wanting to catch the show, we headed to North Uncanoonuc for the eclipse. Wanting to avoid popular trailheads, we bushwhacked up from the northwest in very open woods that had about 2-3 in. of wet snow.

Though the eclipse was not total here it was still impressive and I just love the eerie light that happens when the sun is mostly obscured. Weather was nice and warm until the sun went in, which created a noticeable temperature drop.

Several other folks were up here enjoying the display but it wasn't crowded at all. Good luck to those coming home from up north!
