Comments
Comments: Ski area is closed for the season (yesterday), but the trails have full coverage. There is also full coverage in the woods (even on the south-facing slope of Mt. Rowe).

Ski trails were okay on snowshoes, with some soft spots from today's sunny 60F weather. The access road has already been plowed out (not yet down to the crushed rock).

I briefly hopped onto the Ridge Trail on the descent with visions of heading over to Mt. Rowe, but found it to be VERY soft despite having been previously snowshoed. I was wearing light snowshoes, but was still sinking very deep, often into slush, so I bailed back onto the ski trails (which had been groomed a day or so ago).

Small crew of folks watching the eclipse on the summit. Kind of neat to see the light briefly fading, but probably not enough for me to go out of my way for the next solar eclipse.
