Recommended Equipment: Snowshoes
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The largest crossing was rock hoppable with snowshoes, but not easy. Most of the rocks are submerged. The many small brook crossings along the trail were tedious and the snow was collapsing. I broke through into water with snowshoes on a couple of times.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: There were a few branches that were at head and eye level, but overall the trail is in nice shape.

Comments
Comments: The trail was broken but after the rain, it was very soft. In the morning the snow was more firm but on our descent, it was very soft and unconsolidated. Snowshoes all day. I would not even attempt this trail with spikes right now. Postholing happened a few times even with snowshoes on. The soft snow is also very slippery on the steep sections.

Happy to check Cabot off for Spring, and Chantal can check off March.
