Comments
Comments: Pu pu platter of conditions. Carriage Road still covered in snow. Gunstock Mountain Trail had some ice monorail down low, some extended bare spots (open glades facing south), some areas of foot deep snow (track packed enough to boot), and some areas of extended, somewhat dangerous blue ice (Microspikes would be just barely enough, some may prefer crampons). On top of that, an afternoon snow squall covered everything what a coating of snow. Not enough snow to warrant snowshoes (though lesser travelled parts of the Belknap Range likely still need them), but definitely an interesting hike to do without any traction at the moment.
