Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The old woods road is barely visible from Hurricane Mountain Road due to a massive blowdown. Lots of debris and blowdowns on the lower half of the road especially. Once you turn onto the old trail, it's pretty clear with lots of red blazes, yellow tape and cairns. At the level area on the summit, the trail is less clear in parts: just keep alert and you will find it!

Comments
Comments: Looking for a short hike before doing errands. Unable to locate woods road so bushwhacked straight up! Steep, but knew the gain was not unmanageable so hung in there. Popped out on the trail by sheer luck just before the grade started to level off. Went to high point by following the trail. Never located the handle mentioned in prior reports. Did see an old coffee pot jammed onto a branch but definitely not at the top. Took the trail back down. Nice going and obviously used enough to keep it clear.
