Great weekend at the hut. Caretaker season! Weather couldn't have been any better, great company and Ben at the hut was awesome. It's easy to bare boot up Old bridle path and summit Mt. Lafayette. Would definitely recommend Hillsounds or equivalent for the descent down Falling Waters. The part of the trail slightly off summit to about 1 mile from the bottom has a lot of wet skinny monorail. It's easy to descend with spikes, very difficult and wet butt slow without. |
