Comments
Comments: I barebooted Zealand Rd (6 to 8 in of snow) then switched to snowshoes to head up Hale Brook Tr. There were only two sets of ski tracks that switched to snowshoes after about a half mile from the previous day. There is still 2 to 3 feet of snow and the trail was very soft on top of a firm base. The sidehill section was a bit tricky just below the upper crossing. Very narrow track with loose snow on top. There were no tracks on Lend-A-Hand Tr and a herd of barebooters had been up Firewardens Tr. Hale Brook Tr was looking very smooth as I headed down until several barebooters made their way up slipping and sliding. I would have worn my snowshoes down Zealand Rd but the sun was making the snow very sticky and heavy on the flat terrain.

Congratulations to Marlie for completing her 7th round of 4Ks and myself for completing 9! Looking forward to many more together.
