I used micros from car to Webster. This side had seen little traffic recently. The upper section had lots of snow on branches. Used snowshoes the rest of day. The ridge over to Jackson was an adventure. I had about 4 miscues on trail location. Each error quickly solved. The snow depth about 4 to 5 feet. Most blazes were about 2 feet off snow. In many places it was easier to get through a mess on hands and knees rather than fight the snow / ice laden branches. Needless to say I got soaked. The trip down from Jackson was like a 4 lane highway. (LOL) But always a good day when an old guy bags another 4K. |
