a nice short day to match short available time. brilliant sun, much blue sky with cumulus clouds framing an exemplary view of Franconia Ridge, and surrounding area. plenty of people coming up mid-day, presumably to stay the night at LL hut. bb or microspikes enough, as trail is well packed.
