Comments
Comments: Solo hike using snowshoes the whole way. No ice spots. Leave crsmpons and ice axe in the car.
Saw 6 hikers snd 2 dogs. 5 wore microspikes and 1 skinned up with skis.
Mostly sunny day with increasing clouds in sfternoon. Snow softened to become mashed potatoes in sunny areas but less so at higher elevation where it stayed more firm.
Sossman spur trai to ski slope overlook has not seen much traffic and is not packed like Mt Tecumseh Trail.
Mt Tecumseh Trail was well packed with occasionsl postholes and was firm before it softened some from the sun. The trail at higher elevations was not as well packed. Be careful of low branches near the summit that msy poke an eye or head. Good views from summit clearing to the north and east.
