| Comments: |
Fine day for an outing, but fairly windy at top of Pierce. Wondered if I'd have to turn around without getting to Eisenhower. Problem solved with chemical handwarmers, warmer mittens, and light down coat. Removed coat soon after.
Evidence of slab avalanche on east side of Eisenhower and debris path below towards Crawford Path.
You will NEED snowshoes from Pierce to Eisenhower; the monorail is unstable and only loosely packed. |
