Between 6 to 12 inches of snow with lots of drifting action. I would recommend snowshoes if heading to the Belknap range now, as there is plenty of powder that you would flounder in without them. Broke out most of these trails today. Use caution descending, as sometimes there is only a few inches of snow and rocks to snag your snowshoes and slippery blue ice buldges lurking beneath. Swooping down fast not advised. Skiers on summit of Gunstock looked at me like I had three heads when I popped out on top, asked if I was camping out and if I needed to buy a lift ticket (to hike). |
