Comments
Comments: Zealand Rd to a little beyond Zeacliff Tr (i.e. the lookout) was packed out and in very nice condition. 2 out of the 4 of us didn't use traction till the hut and only micro spikes for the climb above the hut. Trail broken out till ~1 mile from Zealand Mtn (Thanks ConorR & team). At that point we switched to snowshoes. There was a layer of crust and we generally sank in 5-7". Not a lot of drifting. Open areas of Guyot and Bondcliff had minimal snow, lots of rock and a bunch of ice on the trails. Our snowshoes took a beating. The trail to W. Bond is blocked by blow downs. We bushwhacked up and you don't want to follow that track. So stay to your left/to the south when climbing W. Bond if by chance you are faced with multiple trail options. We stuck to the trail, as best possible, on the way down and you want to follow that. Three of us went to W. Bond and two of us did the entire traverse. We picked up a bare booter tracks as we approached the railroad bed on bondcliff tr. Unfortunately ~1 mile from the Lincoln Woods Trail we picked up a group of bare booter which turned the trail into a dangerous place to be as there tracks were frozen. We ended up breaking trail next to the bare booter tracks rather than risk injury in our worn out state. Lincoln Woods was a blessing as it was packed out with minimal holes.

Thanks to L, G and C for a fantastic day.
