Three cars at the Basin at 7:00 a.m., and 6 at 1:30 p.m., so no problem parking there. The lot was plowed. Parking spots were icy, but no issues. |

All easy. |

A few blowdowns, but all easily stepped over or ducked under. |

I didn't see any, but a winter hiking dog would have enjoyed it today. |

That's a major reason why I like hiking this time of year! |

| Comments: |
The bushwhack that heads off the bike trail was in good shape. Light traction would work, but some might prefer snowshoes. Liberty Springs Trail was packed hard and in great shape. Light traction was fine. The Franconia Ridge Trail to Mt. Flume was in good shape. Not as packed as the Liberty Springs Trail, so some might prefer snowshoes. |
