Comments
Comments: Anticipating problems crossing Big Brook, we opted to follow Passaconaway Rd until it crossed the brook. We then turned N and bw through sparse woods until we hit a logging road that we followed to 1300'. We then headed W, through wide open woods, to the well defined summit. On the return leg, we crossed Big Brook and followed a logging road to the car.
Wearing high flotation snowshoes, we sunk in approx 2-8" in granular springlike snow. Snow on SE facing slopes is starting to get mushy, but does not yet ball under snowshoes.
