| Comments: |
Valley way is fairly smoothly packed out initially, but gets pretty choppy the closer it gets close to the hut (from a combination of wind driven snow drifting and a multitude of bare booters). Wore my snowshoes up and down to smooth things out a bit. Summit cone a mix of soft ice, snow of variable depth and firmness, and lots of bare rock, no traction is ideal. I switched out of snowshoes into micro-spike after the rocks became unavoidable.
