Now is a great time to bag this peak. The base is pretty solid under 3-6" of new snow. There was quite a bit of traffic up there today which has the trail nicely packed out. There were a couple spots of ice hidden under the snow up in the higher sections of Owls Head Path, but nothing that couldn't be handled with snowshoes on. I used micros til exiting Black Pond bushwack, then snowshoes the rest of the way. Could have barebooted.
