| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The Madison Gulf section between star lake and the great Gulf can be challenging to follow at times. The 4000 footer map adventures maP 5th addition does not show a river crossing right at the great Gulf junction. Go over the river and a few hundred feet around the corner and it will be clear. Also about a mile into this section the trail follows a river bed up fairly steeply. The trail is not the boulders, it is to the right. The entrance is hard to notice. Cairns and whacking would help make the trail more clear here. |

Steep but doable for dogs. Saw a couple and there seemed too be enough water en route |

| Comments: |
This loop is tougher than it looks on paper...but it was definitely enjoyable. Osgood Ridge is a beauty! |
