Comments
Comments: I walked the private rd. to where smith mt. rd. goes right and the doan trail goes straight. just beyond the roadwork I went into the woods westward. the going was good though moderately steep most of the way. up top there is some spruce and I looked and looked for the register. no luck so I went over to stonehouse with relative ease up to the sign and flags. I then went back to mousley with no trouble but still couldn't find a register. this was after a more extensive search. there are several candidates and were mostly rocky. to make sure I was in the correct place I went down off the summit eastward very very steeply and bouldery which the contour lines show the steepness on the map. it was a fun but somewhat frustrating hike.
